No Money for Corey

In our desparate attempt to keep Corey in bed, Jerry told Corey on Saturday night that if he stayed in bed all night, he would give him a dollar. Corey got all excited and started asking questions about what he could get with a dollar. We told him that he could save up his money and buy whatever he wanted.

Unfortunately, he didn't stay in bed all night; crawling in bed with me at some point over the night. When he woke up Sunday morning, the first thing he asked was if he stayed in bed all night. Jerry told him that he didn't and he burst out crying. Poor kid. Jerry told me that at one point in the middle of the night, he was standing in the hall and wouldn't come in my room because he knew he was going to get a dollar if he didn't go into my room. Seems maybe it sunk in a little?

Later on in the day, Jerry told Corey that if he picked up all the toys in the living room all by himself, then he could earn a chance to get the dollar that he didn't get before. I left to go take a shower. When I got out, the living room was clean, so I figured that Corey got his dollar. Wrong. He got about 2 toys picked up then told Jerry that his leg was hurting and besides....he had plenty of dollars and didn't really need any more! That boy is LAZY! I'm thinking that my plan of making a chores list for him isn't going to do any good!
