It's amazing to watch how much Corey has improved with recognizing letters and numbers! He can wiz pretty fast through his flash cards on both uppercase and lowercase letters. He has a few problems with a, d, p and b, obviously, since they look alike.
He's understanding how to figure out what words start with. He repeats the sound and can usually figure out the starting letting of words. C sure gives him a lot of trouble! I've tried to explain how it can sound differently, but that's a concept that he's not quite ready for yet. His name has the hard C, but mommy's name is a soft C and he thinks that his buddy Cade's name starts with the letter "K". His preschool has done wonders on teaching him letter recognition.
