Puppies!

Aunt Sandy and Uncle Dan came over on on Sunday to celebrate the 4th of July. Along with them was Sandy's puppy, Layla, (which Corey renamed to Lola) who was about ready to have puppies. She's a Bichon Frise and is as cute as a button! About 9:30 Monday morning, she started having the puppies. It was a little touch and go at first, because the puppies were much bigger than expected and had some difficulty coming out, but nature perserved and a few hours later, Layla was the proud mama of 2 girls and 1 boy! What an experience! It was fun to hold the newborn pups and keep them warm. They are so tiny and helpless. Nature is a wonder!!!!

After the puppies were born, we layed around and watched movies all day. Later on, we went to see fireworks in town. It was a good show and Corey had a great time.
