What utter devastation Hurricane Katrina has done to Lousiana and Mississipi. I can't stop myself from watching CNN, even though what I'm seeing makes me sick to my stomach. People are shooting at other people, women are being raped and people are just generally going crazy. Then, you wonder where the support is? What the heck is FEMA doing?
The latest posting shows that relief is finally getting there, but I can't help but wonder why it took so long. I know that it is a great tragedy and way worse than anyone anticipated, but shouldn't the good ole USA be more prepared for this? It's a very scary scenario playing out.
I hope that this disaster brings about some changes and improvements in disaster relief.
Nonetheless, my thought and prayers go out to all the victims.
