Kelso Easter 2007

Easter morning was fun with Corey. The easter bunny was very generous, bringing Corey lots of candy and a Star Wars lego walker, along with a Tech Deck Dude. We spent the morning playing Lego Star Wars and hanging out, then started cleaning in preparation for the family to come over at 4:00.

I made another ham, which once again turned out really good. You just can't go wrong with Double GG (note to self - 5 pound ham, 275 degrees, 2 hours in the oven - drop down to 250, then 200, just about the right size). Ruth brought chicken and dumplins, which were just about all eaten up. Only two small containers of left overs - she said she would make more next year. Salad from Jim and Karen; Jello mold, deviled eggs and sugar cookies from Colleen and Rick; german chocolate cake and sweet potatoes (which we forgot to eat!!!) from Bill and Denise and the boys (Denise didn't come - upset on the job front); chips and dip from Chris and Sami; soda from Shawn and the girls; beer from Gary. Dan and Sandy didn't make it due to some issues with their kennel, but Lauren made the drive in. We also had green beans and baked beans which I cooked (Ruth provided the green beans since Sandy couldn't make it - she was gonna bring the casserole).

I hardly saw Corey once Amber got there. They played together fairly well - only a few minor incidents. We were able to hunt easter eggs outside, althought it was quite chilly. Easter is almost as bad as xmas, with all the baskets of stuff flying around - candy and toys everywhere! By the time everyone left around 7:30, Corey was absolutely exhausted. He was complaining of a headache - I think he was just overloaded. After spring break and being gone all week, then going right into Easter - he just needs to get back some normalcy.
