Today was the end of class #3 in archery. Corey managed a 2nd place finish, shooting from 15 yards. It was a rough start at first - he was having trouble hitting the target and lost his confidence early on. Tears were easy today, but once he gets a good score, he usually gets back on track and does well. He ended with a score of 163. After 5 rounds, he had only scored a 46, so it wasn't looking too good there for a while. But, he sure enjoys archery. It's fun to watch him shoot - I actually took the camera today and tried to get some shots, but its tough to do with all the people walking around.
We've signed him up for the next class, which starts in 2 weeks. Hopefully, he can keep improving and get his confidence level up. He's got the bow from Hoyt - they are "sponsoring" him - letting him try out a new model to see how he likes it, so that's pretty cool. And, he and daddy can practice in the back yard, which is good to build his confidence.
He did get another trophy today for finishing 2nd place - he sure loves that!
