Gift Exchange

We spent yesterday at Toys R Us, exchanging some duplicate gifts that Corey got from his birthday. He chose a Cyborg Assault hot wheels race track, (which we spent over an hour putting together when we got home). Then we went to Bed, Bath and Beyond and picked out some baskets to go in the cabinet/bookshelf unit that we finally got put together for his bedroom. Corey's dinner consisted of a bowl of Spaghettios, which he scarfed down like there was no tomorrow! Dinner is always a challenge with him, so it was good to see him get through it quickly. He even brought his bowl into the kitchen when he was done and put his spoon in the dishwasher. He told me that he was going to be a good boy and do what he was told for the rest of the evening! I don't know what got into him, but it was very nice! He must have played with the racetrack thing for at least two hours. It has a motorized part that pushes the car around the track so he can just sit there and watch and laugh. He was finally getting tired about 8:15 (no nap yesterday....again) so it was pajama time and when he was all ready for bed, he crawled up on my lap on the couch and promptly fell asleep. He is still dependent on "Bob", the stuffed worm, to help him fall asleep. We bought it for him when he was about six months old. He chews on the tag...it's the most disgusting thing I've ever seen. Someday, I'm going to break him of that habit.
