Science Center Fun

Today, we went to the Science Center. The main reason for going was to see the Marvel Super Heroes exhibit (which cost $11 for adults and $9 for kids - ripoff!) Overall, it was a good day. The exhibit was very pricey for what you actually get to do, but I think Corey enjoyed it. We got to see what we look like in infra-red vision, and got to hang from the ceiling from a spider like harness to show just how strong spider webs are. We even got to lift a car! The exhibit was all themed around the marvel super heroes - Spiderman being the one that Corey was excited about. He also climbed a wall that had toe holds in it, giving the illusion of walking up a wall like a spider.

Jerry and Corey also went to see the Omni Max show about cycling - Wired to Win - I opted out on that one, as the Omni Max makes me sick! We got there pretty much when it opened, so we made sure we had plenty of time to do everything and left about 4, definately a long day. We walked over to the Planitarium via the walkway that goes over highway 40. I hadn't been over there in years - Corey seemed to enjoy the space stuff.

We had dinner at Applebees in Fairview, then went to Sport's Authority to check out a anti-gravity chair that Jerry wanted to buy for the float trip so he'll have someplace to sleep instead of the beds that would really mess with his back. Finally, ended the day at Schnucks in Belleville to get some groceries. We didn't get home until about 7:30 - Corey is going to be one worn out kid tomorrow!
