Great Wolf Lodge

This past weekend we spent at Great Wolf Lodge. We had a blast! We had went last year, but this year, we had company - the Gavins, along with some friends of theirs, and friends of theirs - made for a lively group of 15! Corey had fun with Nolan and Easton, and all the rest were girls, but it was okay, as he pretty much gets along with anyone. We carpooled with the Gavins, leaving on Friday afternoon. We got there about 6, then went out for dinner at Famous Dave's for BBQ, and didn't make it back to the hotel until late, too late to swim for the evening. But, we got up early on Saturday, and hit the pool at 8:30 as it opened. From waterslides to swimming to just goofing off in the water, a good time was had by all. We took a break for lunch, then the guys headed over to Cabela's, while me and Dawn did some shopping at Russell Stover's (yum!). Then we met up with the rest of the gang at the T-Rex Cafe at the mall by the lodge. We had to wait 2 hours for a table to seat us all, but it was worth it. The restaurant was really cool - all dinos and aquariums. The food was good and the kids had fun hanging out. Dawn and I did more shopping at the mall while the guys hung at the bar with the kids. We got back to the hotel in time for the kids to do a little more swimming before the park closed for the day - they were some tired out kiddies!

Got up eary again on Sunday and hit the park again for another couple hours before we headed home. It was a long drive - traffic was all tied up for about an hour and 3 boys all cooped up in the van was a little nerve wracking, but we made it eventually.

It was a challenge to keep ear plugs in Corey's ear the entire time - we lost a couple here and there. He was good about checking to make sure they were still in his ears. We decided to stop the medicine. The left ear is definitely better, but right before we left, the right ear had started to give him some pain, so we started using the medicine in that ear. WE still have plenty of the medicine left, so we'll make sure to take it this weekend on the float trip just in case.
